Key Responsibilities:
Identify Compliance Requirements
61 Evaluate key issues and identify specific compliance elements to be addressed.
61 Compare requirements with current practices, identify gaps and recommend changes to address gaps;
Develop and Execute Compliance Implementation Plan
61 Support import and export operations teams on daily operations on avoiding customs risk and declaration issues; customs inspections and audit,
61 Manage brokers KPI and work with brokers on daily basis on customs regulation
61 Responsible for GTS SPL screening and new materials workflow requests; responsible for screening materials based on chemical regulations for tracking the Licensing owner certifications, work with team members on regional sanction party list screening and embargo control.
61 Support to determine tariff classification and maintain the regulatory requirement in the database, determine country of origin, respond ad hoc trade compliance related requests;
61 Develop new / modified processes and system controls as well as identifying roles and responsibilities to effectively address compliance requirements;
61 Support to identify benefits through tariff strategies, utilization of FTA and other trade programs to optimize benefits while limiting company’s custom risks.
61 Support on risk assessment, driving process improvement and implementing necessary internal control.
61 Assist in assurance that import and export activities are executed in compliance with all applicable regional laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
61 Education: Bachelor’s degree with major in global trade/supply chain preferred
61 Excellent English skills in both speaking and writing
61 Knowledge and understanding of specific AP countries Customs practices, EU and US export control regulations.
61 Experience in tariff classification and determination of applicable duty rates;
61 Must be: able to work in a fast paced environment with complex business scenarios; detail oriented and have strong problem solving skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
61 SAP system, compliance and process management skills a plus;
61 Must possess the following skills: Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Interpersonal, Communication, Quality, Efficiency, Innovation, Market Focus, Action oriented and Results driven.
